Our History

Pacific Live is a supplier of wild and sustainable seafood that is primarily sourced from within the United States, specifically Alaska, Washington, Oregon, and Maine. When sourcing from overseas, we are diligent in ensuring that all product is harvested responsibly. As a part of our desire to create a sustainable future for seafood, we maintain certifications with the Marine Stewardship Council and the Global Trust FAO Based Responsible Fisheries Management. Pacific Live was founded in 2011 by Bob Emel and Jake Campbell to focus on the sale of live king crab. Bob Emel, of Eskimo decent and raised in Alakanuk on the Yukon River in Alaska, has been in the seafood industry as a fisherman and a processor for over 40 years.

Our Vision

As Pacific Live expands, we continue to seek out opportunities to provide our clients, and the public, with high quality sustainable seafood. It was in this pursuit of quality products that we began to develop our own brands and expand our list of products that we offer. Commodities we sell include: fresh and frozen salmon: King, Coho, Sockeye, Steelhead, Chum, and Pinks. Dried and frozen Sea Cucumber. Fresh and frozen crab: king, Dungeness, Bairdi, Opilio, and live items in addition to King Crab: Bairdi and Maine lobster. Our branded items are: Pelican Rock, price conscious Atlantic smoked salmon, Petersburg, Alaskan smoked Keta salmon, and Wild Yukon River, portion pack Yukon River Keta. Each of these lines are crafted to ensure a great tasting, outstanding final product.
